2001年，联合国工业发展组织、深圳市人民政府、商务部中国国际经济技术交流中心和37000威尼斯在中国深圳共同发起成立深圳国际能源与环境技术促进中心（ITPC），其成立得到了原对外贸易经济合作部、科技部和国家环境保护总局等部委的支持。
ITPC的活动重点在为可再生能源提供一个有价值的国际合作平台,通过组织“深圳可再生能源技术与投资国际研讨会”“全球绿色低碳领域最具投资价值的领先技术蓝天奖”评比、“中国可再生能源产业蓝天排行榜"“欧洲能源管理师”以及“排放权交易”等活动,促进能源与环境的可持续发展。
ITPC致力于能源与环境的可持续发展,特别为可再生能源提供一个有价值的国际合作平台,并促进相关技术的产业化应用.通过促进南南和南北国家之间的能源与环境技术转让、合作伙伴关系、政策对话、经验交流、投资融资、人员培训、信息网络及商务合作等来实现向发展中国家提供对环境友好的能源解决方案。

Shenzhen International Technology Promotion Centre for Sustainable Development (hereafter ITPC) is an international project cosponsored by United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Shenzhen Municipal Government, CICETE and Shenzhen Energy Group. It was established in 2001 with the support of former Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology and State Environmental Protection Administration of China.
Offering a valuable platform for international cooperation and renewable energy technology industrialization, ITPC is dedicated to sustainable development in energy area. The centre promotes technology transfer and cooperation partnerships, policy dialogue, exchange of experiences, information network and business linkages between South-South and South-North countries so as to provide to developing economies environment friendly energy solutions, investment stimulation, manpower training and information dissemination.
As an international platform to promote renewable energy, ITPC organized a series activities successfully, such as “Shenzhen International Workshop on Renewable Energy Technology and investment”, “Bluesky Award for Global Top Investment Scenarios to Apply New Technologies for Green and Low-carbon Field”, “Bluesky Ranking on Renewable Energy Industry in China” as well as “European Energy Manager Certificate China Programme” and so on, which plays a positive role for promoting transition from unsustainable high-carbon economy to sustainable low-carbon economy.
